Default Weapons/Armor for PVP

The n1 reason most of gw community is pve , is the greed for money/ectos/armor/retarded weps like celestial sword costing way too much.

What if a player would aquire a certain amount of PVP-type-points( not like gvg tourney pts). Players shouldn't be able to sell these points. The only thing the player can buy with this is some kind of armor, weapons. I am talking about armor that has to be new, and can only be gained by pvping (ra, ha, gvg, ...)

This will encourage new players to start pvping because its an armor that they dont have. Obviously anet will have to make rly nice armor, not shing-jea-type armor.

Implement new weapons, armor to the game that can only be gained by pvping and you will have more ppl playing it. Guaranteed

There already are unique weapon skins for PvP. Although you can get them with Zoins I suppose.

Not to rain on your parade here...but....

Greed is not the main reason most ppl play PvE over PvP.

Celestial swords are pretty cheap unless q7-q8max.

Some of GW's most unique skins are PvP only already.

New rewards will most likely only interest ppl till they gain said reward. Then they will most likely lose interest again. (Granted...only if it actually works to attract them in the 1st place)

and...finally...not a guarantee at all as is the case of the mini ghostly....it dosen't provide incentive enough for ppl to play pvp even though it is one of the most expensive items in the game.

^What essence said and at this point if it doesn't affect HoM people won't care about it.

we don't need more rewards, we need better pvp and better ways or areas as an introduction to pvp(and not some half baked trash there is around)

I think this suggestion is better than the guild lords or other players dropping goodies, people do like to look good

What PvP needs is not more rewards, but more fun.

I'd say both tbh.. Fun and rewards can go hand in hand, and if Anet would be able to pull it off, then they would be able to lure a lot of people into the PvP scene.. They just don't seem to be able to pull it off..

No. Rewards would just be farmed by the top pvpers and that would slowly drive the casual pvpers away. When Prophecies came out HA was fun as hell, had rewards like the title/emote with a chest in HoH and look how that turned out. If its fun you don't need rewards besides maybe faction.
